Committed to bring urban sounds to the countryside and pastoral electronics to the city - Jetable Concept, ERC and UNREzT are proud to present the Take Away Festival or T.A.F. The T.A.F. is the perfect way to enjoy a quiet afternoon, discovering novel sounds in a comfortable environment, and having the complementary pleasure of taking back with you a compilation of the artists performing - provided you remember to bring your USB key with you! After two editions deep in the countryside, the T.A.F. now migrates to the city for episode 3, to bring you that distinctive hill-billy flavour, in a reassuringly post-industrial setting, close to home and close to the bone.

I’m not really sure that Roel Funcken needs any form of introduction, being half of Funckarma [along with brother Don] - and their numerous aliases [Quench, Shadow Huntaz, Dif:use…] - a household name for the last 15 years for anyone with even a vague interest in electronic music of any shape or form. Since 2010 Roel’s been focusing on his solo work, releasing on labels such as Eat Concrete, Ad Noiseam, ShipWrec, Tympanik Audio, or Schematic. A new album, entitled “Mercury Retrograde”, is currently in the works.

Baby Kruger is our native gypsy queen. She hails from a famous French wine-producing region, but headed north a few years back to find the proper stuff, and logically landed in Brussels. Her shit is usually big, black and snarling, like her two four-legged body guards. Co-founder of the disreputable Maldita possee, she’s recently joined the very respectable ranks of the Beta Bodega Coalition and the Schematic family.

Shaman is a Brussels-based DJ dedicated to pushing the original Detroit sound and Hip Hop legacy. A notorious member of the second wave of DJs to bring Acid to Brussels. Not only a DJ, he has also produced loads of events like Fucking Aliens, Formatted Industries, 313, Retroactive, and Shadowboxing and Beats Dis!, since the early 90’s. With the Shaman you can expect all forms of worldwide funk, jazz and electronics … as long as it’s real!

Yet another prolific beat-maker from Los AngeLiège - Wallifornia, Richard took his first steps as a member of the romantically inclined Fist Fucking Crew - whose only album leaves nasty stains under the nails - and later as part of the indigenous supergroup Bretzel Zoo. I’ve never seen him without a cap on, and he isn’t actually called Richard.

Vanessa Tesla is a dirty bird of 23. She claims to design some form of fashion in between releasing albums entitled “Spermicid”, “Vasectomy”, and “Castration”. I strongly believe that this is a text book example of penis envy. Personally I would recommend some form of therapy, or at the very least chemical castration; cunt, tits, and asses - there I’ve done it! Space Jaguar, you now officially owe me €50 as I’ve managed to place - despite you claiming otherwise - the words “penis”, “cunt”, “tits”, “asses” - and even “castration” twice - in practically the same sentence and still make some sort of sense.
